About YPPC
A growing congregation in the heart of Hanahan.
We're a Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) congregation in the Charleston metro, gathered around the work of glorifying God, growing disciples, and meeting human needs — together, since 1955.
Mission
Glorify God. Grow Disciples. Meet Human Needs.
Our mission is short on purpose — three commitments that name what we're here for, in words anyone can carry around in their head.
Vision
A diverse and open community of Christ's disciples, sharing the teachings of Jesus in all of life.
We mean every word. Diverse — across age, background, and season of faith. Open — to honest questions, to newcomers, to one another. In all of life — in our homes and workplaces, not only on Sunday mornings.
Values
Six commitments that shape our shared life
- 01
Maintaining presence before God
Daily prayer and worship as the soil that everything else grows from.
- 02
Welcoming all people in Christ's name
Receiving each person who walks through our doors as Christ would receive them.
- 03
Offering inspirational worship and music
Services that draw the heart upward — through scripture, prayer, and song.
- 04
Teaching biblical principles across all ages
Sunday School and study for every life stage, from K4 through adults.
- 05
Discerning the Spirit through intercessory prayer
Praying for one another, our community, and the world as the church always has.
- 06
Sharing God's message generously
Of time, fellowship, and resources — with the wider community God has placed us in.
Come and see for yourself.
